TOYbox May Signups!

I'm extending the date to sign up for May's TOYbox!

The new deadline is May 8, 2013.

We definitely don't have enough signed up yet to make matches.

Also, with everything that's been going on in my life, I haven't

been able to promote it as much as I'd like.

This has been such a fun activity for those who have participated,

I want to keep it going!

If you know a military spouse who could use some smiles,

tell them to sign up!

I will repost the information about May's TOYbox for those who are new :)

will be DATE YOUR MATE :)

Sign ups are monthly, so if you signed up for April for either one,

you will have to sign up again to participate in May.

Important Notes and Rules

1. We are not responsible for anything that occurs after

your match has been made. 

2. There is a $20 max spending limit on the package

you create. This does not include shipping costs.

3. Lost or damaged boxes are out of our control and

we recommend adding tracking to your package.

4. If you have been matched with someone but never

receive a box, please let us know so we can contact

the person responsible.

5. If you are a Sender, please e-mail us a picture of your

box so I can showcase them at the end of the month!

TOYbox May 2013

Thank you to everyone who has signed up

for TOYbox April!

Matches have been made, e-mails have been sent,

and smiles are on their way :)

I still didn't have very many participants, just enough

so everyone was matched, but I'd REALLY like to get

the word out about this. Especially after the feedback I

received from military spouses that received packages.

You have no idea what you can do for someone's day just

by putting together a small box of love.

Think of it as a long distance hug to someone who very

frequently handles all the stresses of a regular household, raising

children, bills, and small paychecks. Add on the worry and 

heartache of your spouse being overseas or trying to maintain

a relationship and a family when you are half a world apart 

for 6+ months. It's not easy, trust me.

I started this strictly for my military wife sisters!)

So, I am pleading with you to please help me spread the

word! Blog about it, share this post on Facebook, mention

it to family and friends. I'd like to see a huge jump in numbers

for May!

If you are a military spouse, don't hesitate to sign up. People

would love to send you a hug and this world could use a little

more positivity.

TOYBox April 2013

Yay for our first month of TOYBoxes!

I know a couple ladies will be smiling this month

and that is enough to make me want to continue pushing this!

We didn't have very many participants for the month of March

so I would really like to boost up the numbers this month!

April is National Stress Awareness Month and we all know

military wives understand the meaning of stress!

Long separations, caring for the kids alone, moving, being

responsible of every household detail, deployments,

being away from family, Tricare (lol)...

So our theme for April is DESTRESS.

Send this lady some love in a box! Yoga DVD, coloring books,

a funny movie. The possibilities are endless and chances are your

recipient NEEDS some destressing! Feel free to get creative. Handmade

items are always nice to get :)

T.O.Y. Box

I am soooo excited to announce this!

I have teamed up with Becca over at iateskinny

and created the T.O.Y. Box project (thinking of you).

The goal is to send care packages to military spouses

in hopes of bringing a smile to their face.

Our husband's always get care packages, we thought

the spouses deserve some love too.

Once a month we will offer sign ups for the following

month. You will be matched with a military spouse

and be responsible for putting together a box for them.

Each month will be themed and there is a $20 limit 

(not including shipping)

If you have a blog, please post about your box 

when you create one or receive one and link back

to mine and Becca's blogs.

Anyone can sign up to send a box.

But please, only military spouses sign up to receive.
